The Listener emerged during Aurelio Milera’s years in Europe, where the elegance of Art Nouveau became an unexpected mirror. In Barcelona, surrounded by modernist architecture and ornate design, Milera recognized that the flowing lines and organic motifs of the style felt instinctive—less an influence than a visual language already within him.

The figure, adorned with botanical and aquatic forms, bridges European modernism with the hybrid sensibility of Yctyogenesis. Rendered in pencil and crayons on Canson cardboard, the piece balances fragility, precision, and introspection.

As a collectible work, The Listener captures a moment of artistic self-recognition—where influence, identity, and imagination align with quiet sophistication.
